Backsafe Manual Handling Champions Training (Enforcement Phase)
Enforcement is best achieved by having each major work section nominate at least one Occupational Health & Safety Champion. The training program enables them to assess the risk areas and ensure other employees are applying the correct methods of manual handling and body motion care. It also enables them to correct obvious breaches of the principals of “The New Moving Habit” and the BACKSAFE Rules, as these breaches are observed and detected on the job.
